The original Italian Job was released in 1969 and a Hollywood remake was shot in 2003 with Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg. Now Bollywood has cast Bachchan and Kapoor to star in the new remake
According to recent news, there will be a Bollywood remake of the movie, ‘The Italian Job’ which is set to start shooting by the end of the year in India.
In the original movie in 1969, Michael Caine and Noel Coward wandered the streets of Rome. Now, everybody was waiting in anticipation to see who will be the cast for the role of the magnificent cinema legend.
The Indian Film Company Studio is financing and sponsoring the film in a joint venture with Viacom, parent company for Paramount pictures.
Viacom has produced the original movie, as well as the 2003 remake with Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron.
"We hope the Indian film version of The Italian Job will continue to excite and entertain international audiences," said a spokesperson from the Indian Film Company.
Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor will be starring in the Italian Job remake and both stars are quite nervous about the start of the shooting. Abhishek plays the role of Mark Wahlberg and Sonam Kapoor plays the role of Charlize Theron.
They both sent out tweets recently telling everybody how nervous they are about the shooting of this film.
"In goa starting a new film.. Excited and nervous all over again.." Sonam tweeted yesterday evening.
"It's a new dawn, it's a new day and it's a new film!!! First day of shoot. Ok, I think I'll go faint now!! Nervous" Abhishek tweeted early morning today.
The actors may be nervous but Bollywood seems confident that it will be a fantastic production to look forward to.
