LG e-Book Laptop Concept

LG introduced e-Book, an ecological laptop concept that uses fuel cell batteries and features organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display technology. This concept notebook received a Red Dot Award nomination for “Best Concept Design” for 2006.The batteries of the LG e-Book use natural gas, methanol, and other eco-friendly liquid fuels. The fuel is stored in a transparent cylindrical hinge.

The LG’s future laptop uses organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels for display instead of the current liquid crystal display (LCD) panel. Unlike LCD, OLED does not need a frame around it, and it consumes less electricity. The keypad will also be made of a singe OLED panel, like the one used in LG’s Chocolate Phone, according to the report.

Supposing that the material could compact itself that tightly, he goes on and mounts a cd drive behind the translucent screen and for good measure throws some invisible projection technology in as well.

It has recently been reported that Acer is working on a new laptop concept with a frameless touch keyboard and frameless touch screen.

Is it true? Probably… The concept presumably uses a reinforced glass substrate from Corning (maybe Gorilla Glass). It is not known at the moment when this frameless laptop will be unveiled, but I wouldn’t expect it for another year or two at the earliest although the source who provided the details to DigiTimes estimates the second half of this year.

Some versions of Microsoft Windows' operating system are vulnerable to attack from hackers; a flaw in the software can let hackers take full control of your personal computer

Once again, Microsoft Windows is under fire with several versions of its operating system being vulnerable to hackers.

Earlier this week, Microsoft had warned its users about the bug in a special alert saying that Microsoft is still looking for the workaround to the problem that it says may leave a personal computer open to attacks from hackers, including taking control of a PC system remotely.

The software giant said that it is not aware of any such attacks yet, where a hacker has tried to exploit the system’s vulnerability. According to Microsoft, the problem involves the way Windows renders graphics on versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.

However, the company claimed that its' recently launched operating system for personal computers, Windows 7 and the latest operating system for servers, Windows Server 2008 R2, are completely free from the said flaws.

In December 2010, Microsoft started investigating possible Internet Explorer and FTP security flaws in the company developed operating systems. It is believed that one of the flaws provides a possible opportunity for remote code execution attacks via Internet Explorer. The other flaw could enable denial of service attacks by exploiting vulnerability in Internet Information Services FTP 7.5.

As an initial preventive measure Microsoft suggested to its users to deploy Microsoft’s Enhanced Mitigation Experience Tool kit [EMET], as a workaround; both run as a part of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

The flaw is said to work by bypassing protections normally enabled by Microsoft’s address space layout randomization [ASLR] and data execution prevention [DEP] technologies.

It is anticipated that the company may provide additional guidance to help customers protect themselves from any such attacks or issue a fix through its monthly security update process.

Increase Wateen USB Signals

As a strict DSL user previously i don’t have any good orbad experience of using USB providing internet services. But due to some circumstances it becomes mandatory for me to use USB device.

I talk to my friend and he use to tell me that he have inactivated wateen usb device, just activate it and use it. I take device , and going to use it. But problem was low signal tendency, then what i did to increase the signal strength is described below.

In order to increase the signal strength of USB device like wateen, EVO, Worldcall you just have to follow these steps.

Apparatus:

• A thin foil Tin like pepsi, coke etc
• Scissors
• Wateen Device

Procedure:

• Cut both top and bottom edges of the tin
• Cut it horizontally, it will become like a disc
• Make a hole just in the middle of the disc
• Insert usb device in that hole
• Plug it into USB port

Step 1: Download and install SafeHouse Explorer to your hard-drive.

Step 2: Once the installation is complete, click the “New Volume” button to create your hidden storage that will house your various files and folders.

You may either create one large volume to store all the “private” files or you can create multiple smaller-size volumes each corresponding to the type of files that they’ll store. For instance, you may have one volume for storing confidential documents and spreadsheets while another one could be for hiding those “personal” pictures and so on.

For step 2b, choose a volume size based on the size of the folders that you’ll be storing inside that volume. The “Pre-initialize Volume with Random Data” basically means that your virtual drive will be filled with random data if there aren’t enough files to fill complete that volume. Use the default “on” setting.

Step 3. Now that your volume is created, open Windows Explorer (Win+E) and you’ll see a new “virtual drive” under My Computer. Just drag and drop any of your folders and files into this virtual drive and they’ll instantly get protected using encryption.

Once you have added all the files to the “protected” volume, make sure you delete them from the original location as the original copy is unencrypted and therefore anyone can open it without requiring a password.

Step 4. Switch to SafeHouse Explorer and choose File –> Close Volume to lock up the files. Congratulations. You have successfully created your first encrypted and password-protected folder on your computer that you can only access after typing the correct password.

To access your protected files, simply navigate to the folder that houses your SafeHouse volumes and double-click the corresponding volume file to open it. Type the password and you should see all the files and folders under a virtual drive in Windows Explorer again.

Encryption is obviously a complex subject for most of us but what you’ll really like about SafeHouse Explorer is that it hides all the technical details from the end user.

8.Inside each MCT-XX you will see a Theme folder.Open it and click on the .theme file to unlock it.

9.Once unlocked the theme will be available to you in personalization option.

4. And thats it!! My orignal images folder which has been renamed with .jad gets hidden and only folder with.jar extension is visible which is empty.So,my data is protected/hidden from unwanted eyes.

To unhide the orignal folder you have to remove the .jar extension from the new folder and your orignal folder with all the files and with .jad will become visible.
